
Joshua Nathan was raised on a farm in central Kansas. His films have played around the world including at the AFI Fest, Nashville Film Festival, Sidewalk Film Festival, and the Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival. His feature script, TRAWLER, was selected to participate in the 2024 Stowe Narrative Lab in Vermont. Joshua was awarded the Screenwriter’s Residency Program for his script at the 2025 Bahamas International Film Festival.
Joshua curates a film night on the first and third Friday night of each month for the Los Angeles Poverty Department. Screenings, and filmmaker Q&A sessions, are held at the Skid Row Museum & Archive in downtown Los Angeles. He is the founding Head of Production for The Rec League, a Los Angeles based commercial agency, production, and post production company.
He lives in the El Sereno neighborhood in Los Angeles.
